Kamal Gill - Healthcare assistant


Our team of practice nurses make routine assessments, give vaccinations, assist in the treatment room, and perform urgent blood tests, ECGs and other investigations. They can deal with all minor illnesses, and can look after patients with chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and hypertension.

The district nurses can be contacted on 01753 484332. If you are absolutely unable to come to the health centre, they will assess the need for a home visit. They also offer advice and care of the chronically sick or terminally ill, support and teach carers, assess wounds, and supply nursing equipment.

Health visitors are registered nurses with a health visiting qualification and further training in community health care. Their work encompasses advice for patients under 5 years of age on health related issues, individually and in groups.


Receptionists

 

The first people you will usually come into contact with are the receptionists. They help with making appointments, giving results, managing prescriptions and general advice.

They organise referrals to hospitals and liaise with external agencies to prepare medical reports.
